Unlocking Your Potential: Biodecoding vs. Coaching – Which Journey to Embark On?

So, you've decided to go on a personal journey and discover more about yourself. You're keen to finally move on and make those big decisions that have kept you stuck. You're ready to embrace change and live life on your terms.

The most likely scenario is that you've been investigating Holistic Therapies in general, what they can do for you, and their benefits in the short and long term. But as a Coach and Biodecoder, I often see clients needing guidance on what's best for them and which path to choose. Fear not! Here's a quick bite of info that may help you decide.

To begin with… What's Coaching?

Coaching or Life Coaching is a technique that helps a coachee (in this case, you) achieve goals faster, more directly, and overcome any blockages you may find along the journey. Think of a personal trainer but for your mind. And it could be oriented to any area of your life, such as Life, Spirituality, Career, Business, Health, Wellness, Relationships, etc.

A Coach is there to guide you, but you ultimately make the decisions on where, how and when you want to go to your final destination. The control is yours. In my case, I'll be there to support you and hold you accountable. But also, I'll be helping you understand your hidden limiting beliefs that keep you stuck from an objective perspective. And not to forget, I'll be challenging and encouraging you to go for it when I know that you certainly can do more.

There will be a plan and, most likely, weekly tasks to perform so that you become closer and closer to your goals. Just so you make steady steps and feel the progress throughout your journey.

OK. What about Biodecoding, then?

Biodecoding is a bit different. It's a discipline based on Science and Quantum Physics, aiming to find the belief behind an emotional or physical symptom. Or any pattern that keeps repeating in your life over and over again.

To summarise, Biodecoding believes a disease or a symptom is an adaptative response to a stressful or traumatic situation. This could have happened long ago, like in your childhood, or can go as far as something inherited from ancestors. Or both!

When we do Biodecoding, we try to find the root cause that could have happened in your lifetime and while your mother was carrying you in her womb. This is considered a significant period as well from a Biodecoding perspective. The reason behind this is that the biochemical released by the mother from her emotions can go through the placenta. When this happens, the baby can feel the emotions as their own, even though they are not, and could leave an imprint for life. So, in this case, it is also relevant to find out information about the pregnancy period. Last but not least, we gather information to make your family tree and see the influence of ancestors in transgenerational trauma.

In this approach, we also use tools from other Holistic Therapies—things like guided meditations, Family Constellations tools, and visualisations. Most of the information that comes to light through this process is helping you already release unconscious stored trauma. Once you become conscious of it, it's easier to change the habits and thoughts that took you there in the first place.

When do you apply each one?

As you can see above, Coaching is more future and goal-oriented, whereas Biodecoding tends to review current and past situations to improve the present. This doesn't mean they exclude each other when going through a therapeutic process!

In fact, they share many tools, techniques, and principles from Psychology. You can use both at the same time. For example, you may want to find the blockage behind your current situation. Once you do, you can go through a series of Coaching sessions to help you consolidate the daily changes you need to make to reflect what has come to light via Biodecoding.

I'd say that every time you find a repetitive pattern or symptom in life that you have little to no idea where this might be coming from, then Biodecoding is your go-to. On the other side, if you are seeking to achieve a specific goal but are probably lacking motivation or don't know how to proceed, then Coaching might be the best option.
